Camp Mitchell, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non profit governed by an independent Board of Directors
Section 2.01. General Powers and Qualifications. The Board of Directors is vested with the power and authority in the name and on behalf of the Diocese to manage, operate, control, repair, improve, and develop the Camp property for use as a camp and retreat center. Subject to the requirements of Section 2.02, the Board of Directors is authorized and empowered to make and enter into any and all contracts deemed by such Board of Directors necessary and proper for its work.

The Board of Trustees (as established by Canon 15, Section 3) is responsible for the effective operation of Camp Mitchell, subject to the authority of the Bishop, the Convention, and the Executive Council. The board is made up of both clergy and lay members, and includes one youth representative from the Diocese of Arkansas. The board serves to provide oversight and guidance to the Executive Leadership as well as set policies and vision for the future of Camp Mitchell.
